Series of accident on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Setu, 4 vehicles damaged
Cuttack: As many as four vehicles were damaged due to a series of accident on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Setu near Trisulia, situated between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
As informed by the eyewitnesses, the major series of accident took place on the Netaji Setu this afternoon after one of the cars, which was going at a high-speed, applied breaks all of a sudden, following which there was a rear-end collision between four vehicles including a truck.
The series of accident was so intense that the safety air balloons of one of the four-wheelers exploded, said sources adding that at least four people sustained injuries due to the mishap. All of them were rushed to the SCB Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
Vehicular movement on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Setu was affected due to the series of accident.
Cops from Markatnagar Police Station reached the spot after getting information about series of accident and initiated steps to clear the route. They are also trying to ascertain under what circumstances the first car applied sudden breaks.
