Series loot from 4 temples in Kaptipada of Mayurbhanj district

Kaptipada: A series loot has taken place in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha yesterday night. The loot took place in the Kaptipada Bazar area from as many as four temples.

As per reports, the burglars looted from the Goddess Laxmi temple, Goddess Parvati temple, Maa Mangala temple and Goddess Chandi temple last night in the Kaptipada Bazar area.

The miscreants reportedly broke the lock of the main gate of the temple and entered inside and looted the crown, earrings, Chitta of the Goddess as well as a few worship items of the Goddess.

Apart from this, the miscreants also broke the hundi (donation box) boxes of all the temples and looted the donation money.

It is to be noted that the miscreants have looted four temples in one night. They have looted silver, gold ornaments and cash worth lakhs of rupees from the temples.

Police have started investigating the incident after the temple committee filed a complaint with the Kaptipada police station.
