Senior IAS officer Vinay Kumar Choubey leaves the post of Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister

Ranchi: A day after Hemant Soren resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Jharkhand, senior IAS officer Vinay Kumar Choubey on Thursday said that he has resigned from the post of Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.

According to Choubey, he said, “I was the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. When the Chief Minister resigned, I had to leave the post of Principal Secretary. I have also waived all other additional charges.”

Soren was arrested on Wednesday night in a money laundering case related to an alleged land scam after being interrogated for seven hours by Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials. Choubey said, “I am waiting for a new posting. ”
