Senior Assistant of Mathili BEO Office Rabi Shankar Patra caught while taking bribe
Malkangiri: Rabi Shankar Patra, the Senior Assistant of the office of Mathili Block Education Officer (BEO) in Malkangiri was apprehended by the Odisha Vigilance on charges of taking bribe.
Patra was nabbed while he was demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 5,000 at the BEO office from a Primary School Teacher (complainant) in order to process/finalize his enquiry file in connection with proceedings drawn against him.
The entire tainted bribe money has been recovered and seized from the possession of Patra.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Patra from DA angle.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S Case No. 13 Dt. 31.07.2024 U/s 7 P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Patra. Detailed report follows.
