Seeman attacks the government over negligence in government hospitals

Tamil Nadu: Seeman, Chief Coordinator of the Naam Tamil Party, has leveled serious allegations against the Tamil Nadu government regarding cases of negligence in government hospitals. He stated that there is a persistent neglect of patient care and treatment in government hospitals, which must be stopped immediately.

In a statement issued on Friday, Seeman cited the case of Tamilchelvi, a woman from Palakkarai village in Ramanathapuram district. He stated that Tamilchelvi was admitted to a government hospital for nasal septum surgery but has been unconscious since the surgery. Seeman alleged that the medical college administration is refusing to provide any clear information on the matter, which is highly condemnable.

He stated that such incidents reflect the dire state of the government healthcare system. According to Seeman, incidents of negligence and mistreatment are being reported frequently in government hospitals, raising concerns among the general public. He demanded that the government prioritize cleanliness, safety, and quality of treatment in hospitals.

Seeman also stated that the current government is repeating the mistakes of previous governments, which is an injustice to public trust. He alleged that the public voted for it with the hope of improvement in government institutions, but the expected change is not visible.

In his statement, he further stated that serious questions have been raised about the poor quality of medicines and treatment in government hospitals. He stated that similar problems are being seen not only in the health sector but also in the education system, where the quality of education in government schools is being questioned.

Seman stated that if the government does not take concrete steps in this direction soon, the public’s trust in the government system could be lost. He stressed that improving basic sectors like health and education should be a top priority.

He appealed to the government to conduct independent investigations of all government hospitals and take strict action against officials responsible for negligence. He also urged the government to strengthen monitoring systems to ensure patient safety and better treatment.

This statement has sparked heated political debate. Opposition parties and social organizations are also raising questions about the state of affairs in government hospitals. However, the government has yet to officially respond to this statement.
