Security tightened for Presidential visit and NEET-UG exam; police conduct review.

Madhya Pradesh: Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh conducted a detailed review on Wednesday regarding security, law and order, and traffic management preparations for President Droupadi Murmu’s proposed visit and the NEET-UG examination scheduled for June 21. A high-level meeting with senior police officials was held to discuss specific security plans for both significant events.

During the meeting, officials issued directives to strengthen security arrangements in light of the VVIP visit and the national-level examination. The Police Commissioner instructed all concerned units to work in coordination and remain vigilant to prevent any lapses.

In view of the President’s visit, security agencies have been directed to conduct a detailed inspection of the route, strictly implement anti-sabotage checks, and enhance CCTV surveillance along the entire path. Emphasis has also been placed on ensuring seamless coordination among all security agencies to prevent any security breaches during the visit.

Additionally, the police have been instructed to maintain special surveillance at hotels, guest houses, railway stations, bus stands, and other public places. Special teams have been mobilized to keep a close watch on suspicious individuals and activities.

Security arrangements for the NEET-UG examination are also being prioritized, given that it is one of the country’s largest medical entrance exams. Special plans are being formulated to manage crowds, handle traffic, and ensure the smooth movement of candidates around examination centers.

The Police Commissioner stated that special traffic management measures would be implemented on the day of the exam to ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent any inconvenience to the candidates. Additional police forces will be deployed in sensitive areas, and continuous monitoring will be maintained.

Officials have also been instructed to complete all necessary preparations in advance to handle any emergency situations. Furthermore, security forces have been directed to remain alert and take immediate action against any suspicious activity. The police administration has clarified that both the President’s visit and the NEET-UG examination are events of utmost importance; therefore, no laxity in security arrangements will be tolerated.

Extensive preparations are underway to ensure both events are conducted peacefully and securely, and all departments have been instructed to work in coordination.
