Second term also wasted? Many people are upset due to delay in hearing on election

Maharashtra: Now the question is arising whether the second term of the post of corporator of big political figures, former corporators and corporators who have been without any official public representation for the last five years has also been wasted or not. The stuck municipalities include Kulgaon Badlapur and Ambarnath municipalities. In the coming days, the term of the absence of corporators in these two municipalities will be completed. Many people are worried about how long the expenses incurred to maintain public relations will be spent.

The Corona crisis around the world and the term of the municipalities of Ambarnath and Badlapur cities ending were similar. The lockdown imposed due to the Corona crisis has put a damper on the upcoming elections. Elections for both Ambarnath and Badlapur cities were expected to be held in April 2020. These were the two municipalities of the state whose term had ended and administrative rule was going on at that time. This administrative rule will soon complete five years. The hearing on the ongoing election in the Supreme Court will now be held on February 25. Therefore, even if the results are declared on that date, there will not be enough time to carry out the election process. As a result, it is likely that the elections will be held only in October-November after the monsoon. This news has upset many people. Money has to be spent on every festival to maintain public relations in the ward formed in the last five years. However, one term of all these ambitious and former corporators, i.e. five years, has been wasted. If the election results are not declared soon, the question has arisen whether the second term will also be wasted, and these ambitious people have become teary-eyed.

At present, the lure of prizes and gifts is going on in Ambarnath and Badlapur cities through Haldi Kumku and other programs. But the question is how long will they continue to do this. Due to this, the calculations of many candidates have gone awry. Senior former corporators of the ruling party are settling their financial calculations through development works. However, it is seen that others are facing financial difficulties.

It is also not possible to say when the elections will be held. Citizens are approaching the aspiring candidates in societies in wards with a list of tasks. Before the elections, local councilors and aspiring public representatives are spending money generously in the cities. However, for the last five years since the elections are likely to be held anytime, the societies have not stopped their demands. Cleaning the tanks of their societies, installing gates, asking for donations for the puja of the societies, getting water from tankers, all this is happening in the city.
