Scooty rider creates ruckus, drama at checking point

Surajpur. A woman became enraged at police officers for confiscating her scooter during a vehicle check. Two women created a ruckus in the police station premises for hours demanding payment of the challan. The entire incident took place in Surajpur.

According to reports, police were checking vehicles as part of a routine vehicle checking campaign. During this, a scooter was seized for lack of documents. When the police issued a challan as per the rules, the scooter driver became angry and went to the police station and started arguing with the police.

The woman continued to argue with the police about paying the challan amount. The situation escalated, and another woman also joined in the commotion. The drama between the two women continued for hours in the police station premises, causing inconvenience to other people present there. During this time, the police officers continued to advise the women and urged them to follow the law. Only after a considerable delay did the situation return to normal. The police clarified that the vehicle checking campaign was being conducted in accordance with the rules and that action would be taken for violations.
