Scientists from England visited Chhattisgarh, know why
Katghora. Scientists from England have arrived in Bango Dooban area of Hasdev River in search of Mahaseer fish, called clear water lion, for its conservation and promotion. Scientists are searching for mahseer fish in the waters of Buka, Golden Island and their surrounding areas in the Bango Douban area.
So that initiatives can be taken towards its conservation. The presence of golden mahseer fish, which is called clear water lion, has been found in Hasdeo Bango Dooban area in the east. Continuous efforts are being made across the country to save this fish species.
In this series, scientist Dr. Mark Everard from England has arrived on a two-day stay. Katghora Forest Divisional Officer Kumar Nishant said that Dr. Mark Everard is doing survey work in the Douban area after discussing with the fishermen of Bango Douban area about the Golden Mahseer fish.
So that meaningful efforts can be made towards the conservation of Golden Mahaseer. It is also called the lion of Indian rivers. Whose scientific name is Tor Puti Tora and the maximum weight of this fish is 50 kg.
