Saathi Bazaar will be started on the lines of a modern mall in the old Krishi Upaj Mandi complex located in the heart of Dhamtari city. This market, which will be built through the project of the state and central government, will have facilities like a big modern mall. The specialty of this market will be that 50 percent local products and businessmen will be given space here. At the same time, there will also be 50 percent national companies. A producer company of farmers will be formed in the district for the operation of Saathi Bazaar. Today in the Collectorate meeting room, Collector Abinash Mishra held an important meeting with the nodal officer of Saathi Bazaar project including NAFED, NABARD and officials of the Agriculture Department for the establishment of this market. In the meeting, the General Manager of the District Industry and Trade Center, scientists of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra and officials of Fisheries, Horticulture Department were also present.

In this meeting, the Collector directed to start the work of forming a farmer producer company of 10 thousand women in the district for Saathi Bazaar. He instructed the officials to take help of the officials of Chamber of Commerce, representatives of CAT as well as local business organizations for the establishment of Saathi Bazaar. Apart from local products, modern retail outlet, food court, entertainment zone, agri mall, agricultural assistance center, Sanjeevani center, onion storage center, mini theater and cold storage of five thousand metric tons will also be established in Saathi Bazaar. Products will be sold at low commission in Saathi Bazaar, which will benefit both the buyer and the seller. Due to the facility of storage of crops, the loss incurred by the farmers after harvesting will also be reduced. Ensuring the participation of farmers from production to sale will increase their income. Dhamtari market will also be linked to Saathi markets of other states. The farmer producer groups of Dhamtari will be free to sell their products in any market of the country, in such a situation, problems like increase in the price of a crop due to low production or decrease in price due to high production will be resolved. This market will provide new employment opportunities to the farmers at the village level and their economic condition will be strengthened.
