Sarpanch’s husband made the life of the poor family inauspicious, broke the house with JCB

Mahasamund. The husband of the sarpanch of village Baldidih in Pithora development block of the district has been accused of torturing a family. The victim’s family says that their house is being damaged by the sarpanch’s husband. The way to reach home is also being closed. The victim’s family is wandering door to door for justice but the hearing is not happening anywhere.

The victimized Pade family has been earning their livelihood for the last many years by making bricks. For the last 25 years, we have been living on the land given by the elders adjacent to the government pond located in the village. The family alleges that Baldidih’s sarpanch husband is trying to evict them by calling them occupiers. The sarpanch husband has demolished the septic and gate as well as the way to the house by driving a JCB, saying that their house is illegal. The family told that a few months ago an application was given to the Collector of the district on this matter, after which the Collector directed the Patwari. Then the patwari had asked the sarpanch to remove the soil and get the gate installed, but it had no effect on the sarpanch and her husband.
