Sarpanch caught by Tehsildar, he was transporting paddy illegally

Kawardha. The district administration has once again foiled the efforts of middlemen to buy paddy from neighboring states at cheaper prices and spend it in the state. Bhagutola Sarpanch of Kawardha Block has been caught illegally transporting 171 bags of paddy.

According to the information, the accused Sarpanch was carrying 51 bags of paddy in his tractor and 120 bags of paddy in 407 vehicle for distribution in the society. The Food Officer and Kawardha Tehsildar along with their team laid siege and caught both the vehicles, and made a Panchnama for the seizure of paddy and handed it over to the Agricultural Produce Market.

It is being told that Bhagutola Sarpanch was buying illegal paddy at low price under the guise of his agriculture center and selling it in the society under the pretext of being a public representative. The informer informed the administration about the matter, after which the team of officers reached the spot and seized all the paddy.
