‘Sarkar Tuhade Dwar’ camp organized in Lalru
Mohali: Derabassi MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa claimed that the facilitation camps being organised under the ‘Sarkar Tuhade Dwaar’ programme are proving to be beneficial for those who are unable to visit government offices due to one reason or the other. While visiting the camp organised at Lalru Municipal Council, the MLA said that complaints related to loan schemes sponsored by departments like revenue, health, municipal corporation, social security, powercom, water supply and sanitation, soil and water conservation, Aadhaar reform, industries, fisheries, agriculture etc. were heard. District officials including Deputy Commissioner and SDM are personally visiting these camps to resolve the problems of the general public.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain listened carefully to the problems of the local people who came to the camp and spent two hours with them. The Deputy Commissioner visited each desk set up by the departments and directed them to note down every problem of the people and make them aware of the welfare schemes being run by the government. He took serious notice of the absence of senior officers of some departments and directed all the officers to be present in the camps to be organised in future. The DC said that since the camps are one of the flagship programmes of the Punjab government, any kind of negligence will not be tolerated. The Deputy Commissioner while listening to the problems of the people present, directed the concerned departments to submit the action taken report within the stipulated time.
