Sangareddy: Myanmar migrant worker dies, 9 injured as church building collapses
Sangareddy: A migrant worker from Myanmar was killed and nine others were injured when an under-construction Methodist church building collapsed in Kohi town on Sunday. Three of them suffered serious injuries. The deceased was identified as Azimullah while the injured included Jamil, Salim and Jag Bahadur. All three were identified as immigrants from Myanmar and Nepal. The workers were busy laying the slab fixed at a height of 40 feet. Due to lack of support beneath the slab, it collapsed when 10 workers were working on it. All of them fell 40 feet and remained trapped under the debris for a long time. The surviving laborers and villagers came to their rescue and pulled them out of the debris after a few hours. He was taken to Kohir area hospital. Later, four of them were shifted to Sangareddy Government Hospital. Although one of them died, the remaining three are undergoing treatment. A case has been registered. Investigation is going on.
