Sangareddy: Missing university employee found dead in Ganga Kathwa
Sangareddy: The body of Doshada Sangmeshwar (34), a missing contract employee of Voxan University, was found in the Ganga Kathwa check-dam in Sadashivpet mandal on Thursday evening. The reservoir is located around 15 km from the university campus. The recovery of the body shattered the hopes of his family as he was alive when he went missing. The gardener had entered the university campus to join duty at 6.30 pm on June 2 but did not return home the next morning. He was found working on the campus till 2.30 am. However, the university management and police did not find any evidence of Sangmeshwar leaving the university campus.
Usually employees sign in the checkout register after duty but he had not signed in the checkout register. When his wife Jyothi approached the management on June 3 as her husband did not return home, she did not get a proper response. The family members found shoes and torch used by Sangmeshwar, a resident of Kamakole in Munipalli, on the campus. After waiting for a day, Jyothi staged a protest along with her relatives, following which the Sangareddy police began efforts to trace the missing person. After examining CCTV footage and other evidence, the police finally found the body at the check dam. The Sangareddy police are likely to hold a press conference on Thursday night. Meanwhile, the university management said in a press statement that they are fully committed to the welfare and safety of their employees. They assured support to the police in the ongoing investigation of the incident.
