Samsung will not use under-display camera technology for Galaxy S26 Ultra: Leak

Samsung will launch the Galaxy S26 series globally in early 2026. The most premium device in the series will be the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and earlier leaks had suggested that it will feature an under-display camera. The company’s Galaxy Z Fold lineup has also featured under-display cameras.
A fresh leak from Korea now makes it clear that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a punch hole setup, as initially reported by GSMArena. This rumour contradicts earlier rumours that suggested the opposite.
Samsung reportedly tried to use an under-display camera in the S26 Ultra to give users a seamless all-screen look. However, the company faced a number of technical issues as well as cost-related issues, the report states. It seems that until Samsung resolves this issue, it will not use the under-display camera technology on a regular slab-style smartphone.
