New Delhi: Samsung has announced the date for its biggest launch event of the year, ‘Galaxy Unpacked 2026’. The company will hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22nd in London. This time, the shape of the foldable smartphone may change; information so far suggests that foldable devices will come in new shapes and sizes. It will be interesting to see whether any creases will be visible on the foldables this time.
Potential Features of the Galaxy Fold 8
Last year, the company introduced the Galaxy Fold 7, the thinnest foldable phone. It is expected that the company will maintain the same thickness this time as well, as launching a device thinner than the Fold 7 would be a revolutionary step – although this is unlikely. At the event, Samsung may introduce new foldable smartphones, smartwatches, and several Galaxy AI-powered products. While the company has not yet revealed the names of specific devices, teasers clearly indicate that the focus will be on foldable devices and AI.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 has been subject to numerous leaks; reports suggest it could feature a new design, a wide-body display, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and improved cameras. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is also expected to feature AI features and performance enhancements. Samsung has opened pre-reservations for the new Galaxy devices in India.
