Samsung Galaxy A17 5G launched, offers Exynos 1330 SoC along with IP54 rating

Samsung has launched its latest A-series smartphone in selected markets across the globe. The smartphone we are referring to is the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G and it comes as a successor of the Galaxy A16 5G. The Samsung Galaxy A17 5G is powered by a 5nm Exynos 1330 processor and packs an Android 15 based One UI 7.

Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A17 5G gets 6.7-inch full HD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 pixels. The smartphone gets a refresh rate of 90Hz and it gets IP54 rating for protection against dust and water.

The smartphone is powered by a 5nm octa-core Exynos 1330 SoC that is paired with Mali-G68 MP2 GPU. The RAM on the device is up to 8GB while the onboard storage is up to 256GB. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the smartphone for security purposes.

When it comes to camera setup, the smartphone offers 50MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture along with 2MP macro camera with f/2.2 aperture. The front facing camera of the device offers f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options on the device include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C charging port and much more. The handset offers 5000mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging. Dimensions of the device are 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.5mm. The weight is 192 grams.

Pricing

The 4GB RAM + 128GB version of the smartphone costs EUR 239 (roughly Rs 24,000) in Europe. There will also be a 6GB + 256GB configuration. The device is available for pre-order through Samsung Store. Colour options available on the device are black, blue and grey.
