Sale of meat and mutton banned in Raipur on 1 November
Raipur. Sale of meat and mutton will be completely banned in the entire boundary area of Municipal Corporation Raipur on Mahavir Nirvana Day, Friday, 1 November 2024. In this regard, in compliance with the order of the Urban Administration and Development Department of Chhattisgarh Government, an order has been issued by Health Officer Dr. Tripti Panigrahi on behalf of the Health Department of Municipal Corporation Raipur to keep the slaughterhouse and all meat and mutton selling shops located in the entire boundary area of Municipal Corporation of Raipur closed on Mahavir Nirvana Day, Friday, 1 November 2024. If any shop is found selling meat and mutton on Mahavir Nirvana Day, Friday, 1 November 2024, action will be taken to confiscate the meat and mutton and appropriate action will also be taken against the person concerned.
On Mahavir Nirvana Day, dated 1st November 2024, Friday, the Zone Health Officers, Zone Sanitation Inspectors of Municipal Corporation Raipur will ensure practical compliance of the order banning the sale of meat and mutton and for this, they will continuously supervise the meat and mutton shops of their respective zone areas.
