Sai Cabinet took many big decisions

Raipur. Many important decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai –

 The Council of Ministers approved the draft of Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill, 2024 for presentation of the Second Supplementary Estimate for the year 2024-2025 in the Assembly.

 The Council of Ministers took an important decision for the recruitment of youth of Scheduled Tribe category of the state in Chhattisgarh Police and decided to provide relaxation for one time in the prescribed criteria of height and chest for the candidates. Under which, the minimum height prescribed in the direct recruitment process of Subedar, Sub-Inspector cadre, Platoon Commander in Chhattisgarh Police in the year 2024 is 163 cm and chest is 78 cm without inflating and 83 cm on inflating. It has been decided to give relaxation only for one time only for male candidates of Scheduled Tribe category.

 The draft of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Member Salary, Allowance and Pension (Amendment) Bill, 2024 was approved.

 To promote dairy entrepreneurship in the state of Chhattisgarh and to increase milk collection and processing, MoU with National Dairy Development Board. This will increase the processing capacity of the Milk Federation along with the use of new technology. With the increase in self-employment by inducing dairy animals in scheduled areas, the cost of milk production will be reduced and along with the increase in milk productivity, a strong system will be established for the sale of milk of the milk producing farmers of the state.

 The draft of Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code (Amendment) Bill, 2024 regarding amendment in Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code, 1959 was approved.

 The draft of Chhattisgarh Unauthorized Development Regularization (Amendment) Bill, 2024 was approved.

 It was decided to give a one-time discount of 50 percent on the lifetime road tax of vehicles during the Auto Expo organized from 15 January to 15 February 2025 in the capital Raipur and all the dealers of the state have been instructed to provide the benefit of this facility to the vehicle buyers.

 In the meeting of the Council of Ministers, the action plan for the implementation of Chhattisgarh Sports Promotion Scheme was approved to create a strong environment for sports in Chhattisgarh, to promote sports culture and to build infrastructure for sports from remote rural areas to the district headquarters for the players of the state.

Under this, financial assistance will be provided to the concerned registered committees for organizing sports competitions to promote sports clubs in Chhattisgarh, to enable the players to participate in the competition. Chhattisgarh traditional sports will be revived. Along with promoting Olympic sports in rural and urban areas, the players of the state will be encouraged by providing them 100 percent travel expenses and sports equipment on participating in international level competitions.

 In-depth discussions were held regarding the disposal of surplus paddy procured at the support price in the Kharif marketing year 2024-25. The Cabinet discussed about sending the proposal for completing the custom milling of 100% of the paddy procured in the Kharif season and depositing it in the same Kharif season and increasing the target for procuring rice from the surplus paddy of this year in the Food Corporation of India under the Central Pool by September 2025 to the Government of India as soon as the paddy procurement is over and permission has been given to dispose of the surplus paddy through auction.

 Keeping in view the requirement of depositing fortified rice in relation to the arrangement of fortified rice kernel for custom milling in Kharif marketing year 2024-25, Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Marketing Federation has permitted the millers to purchase fortified rice kernel (FRK) from FRK manufacturers under the rate fixed by the Government of India and deposit fortified rice till the supply starts after fixation of rate through NeML for last Kharif marketing year 2023-24.

 It was decided to make the custom milling incentive amount of paddy procured at support price Rs.80 in Kharif marketing year 2024-25.

 It was decided to provide the first installment of pending incentive amount to rice mills in Kharif marketing year 2023-24.

 The draft of Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj (Amendment) Bill, 2024 regarding amendment in the sections of Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Act 1993 (No. 1 of 1994) was approved.

 The draft of Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation Act 1956 (Amendment) Bill 2024 was approved.

 The draft of Chhattisgarh Municipal Act 1961 (Amendment) Bill 2024 was approved.

 The draft of Chhattisgarh Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill 2024 was approved.
