Sagar: Two children going to celebrate Rakshabandhan injured

Sagar: A woman and her husband, who were going to her maternal home to celebrate Rakshabandhan, died after being hit by a bus in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar on Monday, while their two children were injured, a police official said. He identified the deceased as Basanti Bai (25) and her husband Sarman Patel.

“The incident took place near Quella Village on Banda Road, around 60 km from the district headquarters. A bus hit the motorcycle from behind. Basanti Bai and Patel fell off the two-wheeler and died on the spot. Their children, 3-year-old Rekha and one-year-old Yash, are injured and have been admitted to a hospital,” Inspector Naseer Farooqui told PTI.

“The driver has been arrested for negligent driving and other offences under Indian Justice Code provisions. The bus has been seized. The family was going to the woman’s maternal home in Tatarwada village from Bijawar area of ​​Chhatarpur district,” he said.
