He strangled her to death.
Meanwhile, Alexei Leonov then reached the village of Arambol, 8 kilometers away. On the evening of January 15, he had a fight with his girlfriend, 37-year-old Elena Kastanova, with whom he lived in a rented house. In the wake of this, he tied her legs and hands and locked her in a room. When she tried to escape, he slit her throat with a knife and killed her.
On the other hand, the Mandrem police reached the spot after receiving a complaint from the owner of the house. Alexei Leonov, a Russian national, was arrested. The police learned that he had also murdered his Russian girlfriend and friend. The bodies of the two women were taken to a government hospital for postmortem. A case has been registered against the Russian man under various sections and investigation is underway.
