Rural Self-Employment Training Institute is organizing tailoring training for women

Gaurisagar: Rural Self-Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Sivasagar, an institute under Punjab National Bank (PNB), organized a month-long training program on women tailoring which started on Thursday. The training was formally inaugurated by Ms. Susmita Kalindi, DFE, ASRLM, Sivasagar.

Earlier, Pabitra Kumar Bora, Director, RSETI welcomed the guests and participants. Pinky Bordoloi, faculty of RSETI, explained the objective and conducted the inaugural session. This training has been organized with the aim of making women empowered and self-reliant in the field of tailoring so that they can adopt it as a livelihood in future. The training will end on June 8. A total of 35 women from different parts of the district participated in the training programme. In the coming days, RSETI is planning to provide training in rearing of ducks, chicks, pigs and beauty parlors.
