Rupali Ganguly spoke on the sudden demise of Nitesh Pandey, ‘He was very protective of me’

Mumbai (IANS) | Actor Nitesh Pandey, who played the role of Dheeraj Kumar in Star Plus show ‘Anupama’, is no more. He died of cardiac arrest last night at the age of just 51. His co-star Rupali Ganguly has condoled his demise. Recalling her bond with Nitesh, Rupali said that apart from Delnaaz and Sarabhai, he was the only friend in the industry who kept in constant touch.

He said: He also came to meet me after the birth of Rudransh. I can’t believe it! Their son Aarav is only a few months older than Rudransh. He messaged me last week about a painting he had done and we planned to introduce our sons. We were also both dog lovers. His wife Arpita looked after the animals and like me is also a feeder. I’m in shock! He was very protective about me.

He added: Even when he came in ‘Anupamaa’, it felt like having your bestie next to you at your workplace. Earlier this month, I went very late for a party and saw his car leaving, so I called him and said I have seen you and he said: Tu ruk main aata hoon gadi ghumke, and I Said ‘no, go home see you next week. It’s been three weeks since I talked to him and now I will never see him again. I can’t believe it.
