Rudrapur: Young man shot dead, friendship with sister-in-law was the reason, three arrested

Rudrapur. Police has finally solved the mystery of the huge shootout case that took place in Thana Transit Camp area. Police has arrested three people including the main accused of the shootout and recovered the country made pistol used in the shootout and presented the accused before the court. Friendship with sister-in-law was the main reason for the shootout.

Revealing on Friday, SP Crime Chandrashekhar Ghodke and Thana Incharge Transit Camp Bharat Singh said that on the night of 20th July, police had received information that a young man was lying in a bloody condition in a room located in Azad Nagar Shamshan Ghat Road in Ward-7. When the police inspected the spot, it was found that two bullets had hit the young man’s stomach. In a hurry, the injured was referred from the district hospital to Haldwani and from there to Bareilly. On 23rd July, on the complaint of the injured’s father Pratap Pal, the police registered a case and started efforts to reveal the truth.

Investigation revealed that Arvind Kumar, originally from Sharif Nagar Itwa Devarnia Bareilly and currently residing in Azad Nagar Transit Camp, had called 26-year-old Vishal and took him away and shot him, injuring him. Investigation also revealed the names of two youths. On Thursday evening, information was received that the three accused in the shootout were roaming in Shiv Nagar area. Police cordoned off the area and arrested the main accused of the shootout Arvind Pal, Prakash Sagar, resident of Gandhi Nagar Thana Shahi Bareilly and Gaurav Kashyap, resident of Ward-7 Azad Nagar and recovered a country-made pistol at their information. During interrogation, it was found that Vishal was friends with Arvind’s sister-in-law. This friendship became the reason for the shootout. Police has produced all the three accused before the court.
