Roadside explosion, two minors killed
Balochistan: Two minors aged 10 to 12 years were killed on Saturday after a roadside bomb exploded in Balochistan’s Bolan district, The News International quoted police as saying.
It was reported that the incident took place in Mach area of Bolan and two children, Babar (10) and Ahmed Jan (12) lost their lives.
The blast took place near shops located behind a police station on Jail Road in Mach area of Bolan. However, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Police officials said that the bomb was planted on a cart. Due to the intensity of the explosion, the windows of nearby buildings were broken.
The police shifted the bodies of the dead children to the Civil Hospital for medicolegal formalities and called the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) to collect more evidence.
Earlier in the month, at least seven people, including three children, were injured in a blast targeting police personnel on Peshawar’s Warsak Road.
The terrorists had targeted the mobile vehicle of McNigate police station, which was on routine patrol at the time of the bomb blast.
