Road safety message from Walk for City

Shimla. Employees of the State Secretariat and others ran from the Secretariat to the Ridge Ground and gave the message of road safety through Walk for City. Walk for T was organized by the Transport Department of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday from the State Secretariat to the Ridge Maidan.

Walk for City was flagged off by State Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri. The Transport Department of Himachal Pradesh has launched a special campaign from January 15 to reduce road accidents in the state. Under this campaign, Walk for City was organized on Wednesday.

Himachal Pradesh Transport Department and Himachal Pradesh Secretariat in collaboration with Sports Control Board flagged off the race organized on road safety awareness campaign.

Professor Simi Agnihotri also participated in this race. Employees of the State Secretariat also participated enthusiastically in the Walk for City. The purpose of this campaign of the Transport Department is to create awareness among the people about road accidents.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that the message from the State Secretariat regarding road safety will go to the entire state. Road safety is not the responsibility of any one person, but of all of us. On this occasion, let us all pledge to follow and propagate traffic rules. Mukesh Agnihotri said that this campaign will be intensified even more in the coming times. He said that 90 percent of road accidents in the state occur due to human error.

In such a situation, it is very important to drive carefully. Mukesh Agnihotri said that road accidents in Himachal Pradesh have reduced by 13 percent.
