Road accident in Balasore: Man dies, son critical in bike-dumper collision

Balasore: In a saddening incident, a man died and his son is critical after a bike hit with a dumper near Jagannathpur of Mahantipada village of Remuna block in Balasore district this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Manas Panigrahi. According to the information, Manas was going to drop his son at school this morning when the road accident occurred. A dumper coming from the other direction rammed into their vehicle.

Locals rushed the father-son duo to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Manas was declared brought dead by the examining doctors. On the other hand, the condition of his son is critical.

An agitation arose as the locals demanded police to take strict action and provide ex-gratia amount for the deceased. Locals have gone to the extent of burning tyres and blocking the road.
