Right hand of most wanted Naxalite arrested, reward was Rs 5 lakh

Chhattisgarh/Jharkhand. Latehar district police has arrested Maoist Naxalite commander National Bhuiyan alias Genius, carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh. Latehar SP Anjani Anjan said that 11 cases are registered against National Bhuiyan in different police stations of Latehar. He was busy planning a strategy with his squad in Mirchaiya and Lohargarha forests of Latehar to cause harm to the security forces during the Lok Sabha election process.

As soon as the police raided the forest on the basis of secret information, the Naxalites started running away. Police arrested one of them, who has been identified as National Bhuiyan. His position in the banned CPI Maoist organization is that of Sub Zonal Commander. He is considered to be the right hand man of Chhotu Kharwar, the most wanted Naxalite commander active in this area. The police raid team was led by SDPO Venkatesh Kumar.
