Retired Head Constable gets justice, retirement bill will be paid soon

The High Court stayed the departmental order to recover money from the head constable after retirement citing excess payment and ordered to pay all the retirement dues within 60 days. But when the applicant again approached the High Court on continuous disregard of the order, the Inspector General of Police (CID) and Superintendent of Police (CID) filed an apology, after which the High Court dismissed the contempt petition.

chhattisgarh news After the retirement of Krishna Prasad Thakur, a resident of Raipur posted as Head Constable in Police Headquarters (PHQ) Raipur, the Inspector General of Police and Superintendent of Police (CID) issued a recovery order of Rs 3,28,657 against him citing excess payment during service and stopped all retirement dues. While hearing the petition filed in the case, the High Court had stopped the recovery amount of the petitioner and ordered to pay all other retirement dues within 60 days. chhattisgarh

Aggrieved by the non-payment of retirement dues within the stipulated time, Krishna Prasad Thakur filed a contempt petition in the High Court through advocates Abhishek Pandey and Durga Mehar. During the final hearing of the said contempt petition, the contempt petition was dismissed after the Inspector General of Police and SP (CID), Raipur apologized and promised not to repeat such mistake in future.
