Restaurant explosion in China, One dead, 22 injured

Beijing: One person was killed and 22 others were injured after an explosion at a restaurant in China’s Hebei province on Wednesday. Local officials gave this information. The explosion occurred at 7:54 a.m. local time at a fried chicken shop in Yanjiao Township, Sanhe City, according to the city’s emergency management bureau. The bureau said it was suspected that the explosion was caused by a gas leak, Xinhua news agency reported. Rescue workers immediately reached the spot. More details are awaited.
