Relationship manager suicide: Sales manager landed behind bars
Ghaziabad: In the case of suicide of a relationship manager of a private bank in Noida, the Nandgram police station of Ghaziabad has arrested a sales manager of the bank. Police say that the accused sales manager played an important role in getting the woman dismissed from the job. Due to this, the woman committed suicide by consuming poison on July 12 due to stress.
ACP Nandgram Ravi Kumar Singh said that Shivani Tyagi, who lived in Hari Nagar, was a relationship manager in a private bank in Noida. Troubled by body shaming and harassment from colleagues, Shivani consumed poison on July 12. Two days later, she died in the hospital during treatment. Shivani had also written a 5-page suicide note before committing suicide. In this, serious allegations of body shaming and mental harassment were made against colleagues. Shivani’s brother Gaurav Tyagi had filed a report against three named accused and others in this case.
The ACP says that two police teams were formed for investigation. The police went to the bank and questioned all the people working with Shivani and checked the footage of the CCTV cameras installed there. After getting the evidence, the police arrested Mohammad Akram, resident of village Mahmoodpur-Maafi, police station Maina Ther, district Moradabad.
The arrested accused Akram is working as a sales manager in Axis Bank. He was Shivani’s closest superior and team leader. It has been learned that Shivani had resigned from the job, which Akram did not accept and got her dismissed from the job. Shivani went into depression over this and committed suicide by consuming poison. The ACP says that efforts are being made to arrest the other accused.
