Rebel TMC MP Seeks Kalyan Banerjee’s Expulsion from Lok Sabha

New Delhi: Rebel Trinamool Congress MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar has written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla seeking the expulsion of fellow MP Kalyan Banerjee. News Agency ANI posted about this on X today.

Dastidar, who joined the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI) along with 19 other MPs yesterday, alleged that Banerjee was guilty of “repeated verbal abuse, misogynistic comments, and misconduct within the precincts of the Lok Sabha” in her complaint.

The move comes a day after the group of 20 TMC MPs switched to the NCPI, marking a major political realignment.
