Raped at gunpoint, then made a video

Dilli: Another case of rape has been registered against JDS leader and NDA candidate from Hassan Lok Sabha seat Prajwal Revanna. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which is probing the sexual harassment case against Revanna, registered this case on the complaint of a JDS worker.

In her complaint, the woman said that Prajwal raped her at gunpoint and also made a video on his mobile phone. She said that Prajwal took her to the MP quarter, where he committed the crime at gunpoint and threatened to kill her and her husband if she told anything about it to anyone.
The woman further said that Prajwal did this repeatedly by blackmailing her and threatened that if she did not cooperate, he would make her video public. Prajwal is accused of sexually exploiting many women.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the Karnataka State Government is investigating this matter. In recent times, this 33-year-old MP has been accused of allegedly sexually assaulting several women and several obscene video clips of the same have also surfaced. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah demanding strict action against Revanna. Not only this, Rahul Gandhi also targeted PM Modi and Amit Shah in this matter. Rahul claimed that Amit Shah was aware of this matter since December.

Prajwal Haasan is the BJP-JD(S) alliance candidate from the Lok Sabha seat, where voting was held on April 26. After which he left the country on a diplomatic passport. JD(S) joined NDA in September 2023. Seeing the matter gaining momentum, the JD(S) leadership has suspended Prajwal from the party till the investigation is completed.
