Rape of minor forcefully, accused arrested

Raipur. A case of rape of a 15 year old minor has come to light. On the complaint of the District Women and Child Protection Department, the police has arrested the accused. It is being told that the accused already had a love affair with the victim. This case is of Gobra Navapara police station area. According to the complaint, the accused had brought the victim to his house in the beginning of this month by making her his wife.

During this time he kept raping her. Gobra Navapara police have registered an offense against the accused under Section 376 of the IPC and Section 4-6 of the POCSO Act and arrested the accused Navindra Kahar, 19, resident of Gobra Navapara. When the District Women and Child Protection Department got information about this matter, they seized the victim from the accused’s house and lodged a report in the police station. The police took action on this and arrested the accused.
