Rape of girl after calling her on her birthday, accused arrested

Raigarh. On the complaint of a girl resident of Kharsia police station area, Chakradhar Nagar police station has arrested rape accused Vishal Mandal from Chhota Atarmuda area. According to the police, the victim told the police in her statement that in 2017, she was introduced to Vishal Mandal through a friend while studying in a local college. There was normal conversation between the two. After this, she went to her village in the year 2018. During this time, he used to talk to Vishal from time to time.In January 2023, she came back to Raigarh with her mother and started living in a rented house.

During this time, he used to meet Vishal Mandal and talk to him on mobile. Last year, on February 1, 2023, Vishal Mandal called the victim on the pretext of a friend’s birthday and forcibly had physical relations with her and started apologizing for not telling anyone. The victim did not tell anyone about this due to fear of public shame. After this, on August 1, Vishal Mandal took the victim to a rented house and raped her again and started threatening her with defamation. After this, the victim got upset and lodged a complaint with the police.
