Ram temple vandalised, locals enraged

Raigarh: A Ram temple in Gharghodha, in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district, was vandalized. Miscreants broke the temple’s idols and threw them into a drain. This incident occurred at a time when the controversy surrounding the comments against Saint Guru Ghasidas had not yet subsided.

The incident occurred in the Negipara area of ​​Gharghodha. It is reported that idols of Lord Ram, Lakshman, and Sita were installed in a small Ram temple in Negipara. Late last night, some miscreant broke all three idols and threw them into a drain.

In the morning, locals found the idols lying in the drain and reported the matter to the police station. People are demanding the arrest of the accused and strict action. Gharghodha police have registered a case against an unknown suspect and initiated an investigation.
