Rakesh Ranjan has become the new DRM of Bilaspur Railway Division.

Bilaspur. The Railway Board issued an order on Thursday appointing Rakesh Ranjan, currently posted in East Central Railway, as the new Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Bilaspur. This is the second order regarding the Bilaspur DRM post in a week.
Earlier, on December 11, an order was issued appointing Umesh Kumar of Western Railway as the Bilaspur DRM. On the same day, Umesh Kumar wrote to the Railway Board requesting that his transfer be canceled, citing family reasons, his child’s education, and his wife’s job. The Railway Board accepted his request and canceled the transfer.
After Umesh Kumar’s transfer was canceled, the Railway Board began searching for a new officer for the Bilaspur DRM position. From the list of candidates, Rakesh Ranjan was selected, and his appointment order was issued on December 18. It is noteworthy that the current DRM, Rajmal Khoiwal, has not yet been given a new posting to any other position. There is speculation within the railway department that this administrative change is a consequence of the Lalkhadan MEMU train accident, although the Railway Board has not officially clarified the reason for this change.
