Rajkumar Periasamy has announced the technical team for Dhanush’s #D55.

Chennai: Director Rajkumar Periasamy, whose next film features Tamil star Dhanush and Malayalam superstar Mammootty in the lead roles, has now announced the technical team for this eagerly awaited film.

The renowned director shared a picture of his entire technical team at the film’s official launch on his X timeline and revealed that the film’s cinematography will be handled by Ezhil Arasu.

He also announced that the editing will be done by Kalaivanan R and Kavya Sriram will be designing the costumes for the film. Although art director Rajeevan was not in the picture, the director mentioned his name and said that he would be handling the production design.

The team had already announced that Sai Abhyankar would be composing the music for this much-anticipated entertainer.

It may be recalled that the film’s makers had welcomed Malayalam star Mammootty to the film on Wednesday. Wunderbar Films, one of the production houses producing the film, had said, “When Big M chooses a story, it becomes history. So thrilled to welcome Megastar @mammukka to #D55! We are honoured! Thank you #Mammootty sir.”

Director Rajkumar Periasamy, who also used his X timeline to personally welcome the Malayalam superstar, wrote, “Dear @mammukka, the day you said ‘yes’, I knew the Almighty had blessed #D55 with divinity. I am honoured and overjoyed that you, our very own #Mammootty sir, have joined the film! Can’t wait to witness your magic with @dhanushkraja sir. This is for my #OyeMammootty moments.” Responding to the welcome message, Mammootty wrote, “So happy and excited to be a part of this journey with @dhanushkraja and @Rajkumar_KP (smiley).”

It may be recalled that actor Dhanush’s production house, Wunderbar Films, had welcomed actress Sai Pallavi on its X timeline on Monday. ​​They had said, “She is a blend of grace and strength – all in one. Welcome to #D55, everyone’s favourite @Sai_Pallavi92. The hit pair is back on the big screen.”

The makers of the film, which is currently being referred to as #D55, had already welcomed actress Sreeleela to the film’s unit on January 30th this year.

There is considerable excitement surrounding this film as the makers have already indicated that it will be a big-budget production. It may be recalled that just a few days ago, another production house called R Tech Studios announced that it was joining hands with Wunderbar Films to produce this film.
