Rajasthan: Minimum temperature recorded at 2 degree Celsius in Sikar

Rajasthan: Cold conditions prevailed in Rajasthan on Saturday, with the minimum temperature recorded at 2 degrees Celsius in Sikar and 4.1 degrees Celsius in Sirohi, the weather office here said. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature was recorded at 6 degrees Celsius in Bikaner, 6.5 degrees Celsius in Ganganagar, 6.7 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer, 7.4 degrees Celsius in Jaipur and 7.8 degrees Celsius in Chittorgarh. The department said the climate was dry and cold wave prevailed at many places in eastern Rajasthan. Officials said they are expecting lightning storms and rain in the state during January 8 and 9 due to the influence of an active disturbance from the west.
