Rajasthan CM raises horse trading issue amid peace talks with Pilot camp

Jaipur (IANS) | Amid reports of peace talks between the Gehlot and Pilot camps in the national capital, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot once again raised the old issue of horse trading during one of his meetings in the tribal belt of Banswara. Referring to the role of a tribal woman MLA who saved the Congress government from falling during the 2020 rebellion, Chief Minister Gehlot said, people brought bundles of cash for Ramila Khadia and kept it in her car, but she showed no interest in it Sent them back without showing them.

The chief minister has repeatedly hinted that the BJP was trying to harm the Congress during the 2020 rebellion.

Expressing his gratitude, he said, “How can I forget Ramila who played such an important role in saving our government.” He asked the people present to applaud for him.

The CM praised Ramila during the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Rs 2,500-crore Upper High Level Canal Project at Magrada on the second day of her Banswara tour.

He said, I can never say no to Ramila if she asks for anything. Had it not been for her, I would not have been standing in front of you today as the Chief Minister. He saved our government which was on the verge of collapse like Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. But this woman has done a very courageous thing by not taking even a single rupee.

The Chief Minister said that he has only one unfulfilled dream. The Ratlam-Banswara rail project could not progress further. The UPA government started this project, but then the government changed and the central government did not take the project forward. Later it was put on hold.
