Rajasthan: A baby died after the oxygen cylinder in the ambulance ran out.

Rajasthan: A one-day-old baby died in an ambulance in Jaipur while being taken to a government hospital. The baby’s father alleges that the oxygen cylinder ran out and the driver abandoned them at another medical facility. The incident occurred on Friday evening near Bassi, when the baby, who was having difficulty breathing, was being transferred from Bayana Hospital in Bharatpur district to SMS Hospital in Jaipur. The baby’s father and uncle were accompanying him in a private ambulance.

According to the father, the ambulance driver left them at a government hospital in Bassi after the baby’s oxygen supply ran out.

“Near Bansakho, the father noticed that the oxygen cylinder was empty, after which the ambulance driver went to the nearby Bassi hospital, where doctors declared the child dead. There was no nursing staff in the ambulance, and the father was operating the oxygen cylinder himself.”

The father returned to Bharatpur with the baby’s body. He stated that no complaint has been filed.
