Raisingh Gond did the work of settling Raipur – MLA Tekam
Raipur. A seminar was organized on the topic of Tribal Society’s glorious past – historical, social and spiritual contribution in Government Dudhdhari Girls College. Program coordinator Dr. B.M. Lal delivered the welcome address. Special guest social worker Himmat Singh Armo said that Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh are all connected to Gondwana Land. Tribal society has a glorious history of 700 years.
Special guest former officer Phool Singh Netam said that Lord Birsa Munda has contributed a lot in the upliftment of the society. From the Mughal period to the British rule, Shankar Shah Raghunath Shah fought in Jabalpur and was martyred. Martyr Gend Singh revolted in Balod district, Veer Gundadhur revolted in Bastar. Principal Dr. Kiran Gajpal recalled the contribution of tribes in the history of the freedom struggle.
Chief guest Neelkanth Tekam MLA Keshkal said that tribal culture is the most prosperous and strong culture. Rai Singh Gond, a tribal, did the work of settling Raipur. The existence of humans is hidden in the existence of tribes. Special speaker Dr. Shampa Chaubey, Principal Kharora said that the tribal society is a well-organized society. They celebrate many occasions from birth to death as a festival and a ritual, which brings liveliness and enthusiasm in life. Chief speaker Dr. Rakesh Pandey said that Indian society is a flowing society and for tribals, the forest is their soul. Tribal society is a preserving society and urban society is spoiling it and teaching it a new lesson of modernity.
