Raised awareness on rural fest culture

Chamba. Under the Chalo Chamba campaign, a cultural awareness yatra was taken out by children and people on Saturday during the rural fest organized in Chaminu. During this, people were given information about culture. Besides, people were also made aware on cleanliness and rural system.

Also, a cultural program was organized in about two years old Kothi situated in Chaminu. In this, a captivating presentation was given by the children of Kids International School, people of Khandairi village, Pramod Shah, Vikas, Kamal and Sanju. District Language Officer Tukesh Kumar and District Tourism Officer Rajiv Mishra were specially present in the program.

Earlier, a program was organized to commemorate Republic Day. During the Rural Fest, Chamba’s famous folk singer Piyush Raj and other artists entertained the people.

Piyush Raj entertained the audience by singing songs like Maaye Ni Meriye Jammue Di Rahein, Chamba Kitni Door and other traditional songs along with explaining the importance of other traditional songs of Chamba. Singer Piyush Raj told that the culture of Chamba is very rich.

On the other hand, in Rural Fest, people are getting a chance to enjoy traditional dishes as well as get to know the rural life closely including traditional sports activities, exhibition, sale, music etc. Giving information, co-founder of Note on Map organization Manuj Sharma and District Tourism Officer Rajeev Mishra said that along with Kavi Sammelan, Medical Camp, the closing ceremony of the fest will be organized on January 28. Along with this, sports activities are being organized in H2O Anandam Saravan Water Mill Gurukul. A food fest is being organized by the women’s group Discover Chamba at H2O Anandam.
