Raipur: Two smugglers arrested while selling ganja behind Kanha Dhaba
Raipur. Two smugglers have been arrested for selling ganja behind Kanha Dhaba. Kabir Nagar police team received information that 02 persons are looking for customers to sell illegal drug ganja behind Kanha Dhaba near Sondongri Nala. On which Additional Superintendent of Police West Daulat Ram Porte, City Superintendent of Police Azad Chowk Aman Kumar Jha (IPS) directed Kabir Nagar Police Station Incharge Inspector Deepesh Jaiswal to verify the information and catch the accused red handed with illegal drug ganja.
On which Kabir Nagar Police Station Incharge Deepesh Jaiswal led Kabir Nagar Police Station Incharge team went to the said place and identified and caught the persons matching the description given by the informer. During interrogation, the persons revealed their names as Kamal Rana and Purushottam Puta, residents of Orissa. When the team members searched the bag and plastic sack kept with them, ganja was found.
On which the team members arrested the accused Kamal Rana and Purushottam Puta and seized 6.088 kg of narcotic substance ganja from the possession of accused Kamal Rana and 5.960 kg from the possession of accused Purushottam Puta, total weight 12.048 kg of narcotic substance worth about Rs 1,80,720/- and registered a case against the accused in Kabir Nagar Police Station under crime number 19/25 section 20(B) of Narcotics Act and took action.
