Raipur: Thief entered the crowd of wedding procession, stole jewelery and cash

Raipur. In this era of weddings, thieves and extortionists have become active. They are doing their work by posing as groomsmen and housewives in places like expensive hotels, marriage palaces, marriage gardens, dharamshalas, community buildings etc. Both the bride and groom should identify such unknown guests, otherwise there can be a loss of lakhs. Also, if there are no CCTV cameras in these wedding venues, the operators should get them installed and if they are installed, they should get them switched on. Yesterday, a thief attending a wedding procession ran away with a bag worth Rs 3.50 lakh kept in the groom’s carriage.

This theft took place on Tuesday evening. The wedding rituals of the nephew of Ishwar Prasad Harit (62), resident of Harshit Nagar Tatibandh, were going on. The procession was going to Sonkar Bhawan at around 8.30 pm. In the crowd of the wedding procession, an unknown thief ran away with the bag kept in the carriage. Precious jewelery worth Rs 3 lakh along with Rs 50,000 cash were kept in the bag. This became known after the wedding procession was over. God who is the uncle of the groom. It was his responsibility to keep the bag safe. Filed a report at Purani Basti police station last night.

The bike crossed here from Tikrapara area. Krishna Kumar Kosle, resident of Nava village Rakhi, had parked his bike Hero Deluxe CG 04HF 8053 near Gokul Nagar liquor shop on the evening of 26th last week. Which was taken away by unknown thieves. Kosle lodged a report at the police station last night.
