Raipur: There will be no water supply in this area this evening

Raipur. Pt. Bhagwati Charan Shukla Ward’s Colony, Basti and Mohallas will not get water this evening. After morning supply, interconnection work will be done throughout the day. Because of this, water will not be able to be filled in the tank. The tank will be filled after the work is completed by evening. After this, on Saturday i.e. June 24, water will be supplied at regular time in the morning. Under Amrit Mission Phase-2, a new tank of 34 lakh liters capacity has been built in the Irrigation Office premises near OCM Chowk. A new DI water supply pipe line of 78 km has been laid in its command area.

About 5600 new domestic tap connections were given free of cost. Water supply is to be started in the above mentioned areas from this new tank. For this, the main 600 mm distribution line of old Baron Bazar tank has to be connected with another 400 mm diameter distribution line. For this two interconnection work has to be done. Work will start at 09 am. That’s why there will be no evening water supply from the old Baron Bazar tank on 23rd. The next day i.e. on June 24, water will be supplied at regular time in the morning.

Supply will remain closed in these areas – Utkal Nagar Panchsheel Nagar Satbahinia Nagar of Civil Line Ward, Katora Para Durga Mandir area and Daga Chawl of Pandit Bhagwati Charan Shukla Ward, Gawli Mohalla, Chhoti Masjid, Chhattisgarh College, P&T Colony, Mahila Polytechnic, Prem Prakash Ashram, Punjabi Colony, Shailendra Nagar Fun Festa Garden, Star Ground, Pensionbada Peon Colony
