Raipur: Scooty driver fined Rs 10,000

Raipur: Action has been taken under Motor Vehicle Act against the driver who was driving after consuming alcohol. In view of law and order, including prevention of crimes, to curb criminals, people roaming around unnecessarily till late night and people driving two-wheelers/four-wheelers after consuming alcohol, as per the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh, intensive checking was done by setting up checking points under Devendra Nagar area late night under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police City Lakhan Patel.

During checking, 01 Maestro driver was found driving after consuming alcohol, and action was taken against the driver under Section 185 of Motor Vehicle Act in Devendra Nagar Police Station and the challan was presented before the Hon’ble Court where the court punished the driver with a fine of Rs 10,000/-.
