Raipur police raid in Dharamshala, foreign currency seized

Raipur. Foreign currency worth lakhs of rupees has been seized. Thana Ganj Police received information that a person was staying in a Dharamshala located under Thana Ganj area, who appeared to be suspicious and had foreign currency with him, that under the direction of senior officers and under the leadership of Station Incharge Ganj, Thana Ganj Police When the Dharamshala team interrogated the person, he revealed his name to be Firoz Lakhani, resident of Surat, Gujarat. When the police team members searched the bag kept with him, it was found to contain foreign currency of different countries. When Firoz Lakhani demanded valid documents regarding keeping and transportation of foreign currency, the team members were being continuously misled by him by not presenting any kind of document. On which Rs 7,06,720/- in Indian currency, foreign currency of different countries were kept with Firoz Lakhani by the team members under section 102 J.F. Under this, it has been seized in Police Station Ganj and information has been given to the Income Tax Department.

Crime number 134/23 section 420 in police station Azad Chowk against Firoz Lakhani, crime number 52/22 section 409 in 34 police station Urla. And crime number 209/23 section 420, 34 IPC in New Rajendra Nagar. The crime of is registered. An arrest warrant has been issued by the court against Firoz Lakhani in the case of Urla police station, in which Firoz Lakhani has been arrested and presented before the Honorable Court.
