Raipur: In the personality development camp of Gayatri Parivar, the youth took a pledge to live a drug-free life
Raipur: Under the guidance of Akhil Vishwa Gayatri Parivar Shantikunj Haridwar, Gayatri Parivar of Raipur district is continuously organizing three to five day residential personality development camps at different places, making use of summer vacations, with the aim of developing talents in youth and children, building personality, making them characterful and cultured, making society drug-free, creating awareness for protection and promotion of environment.
Youth Camp Organiser Chief Mrs. Urmila Netam said that in the camp organized at Gayatri Pragyapeeth Kushalpur Raipur from 10 to 14 June, children and youth were told about the harm caused to society and nation by drug addiction. In the camp, Additional Superintendent of Police Mamta Dewangan from the police administration encouraged the children and youth present against drug addiction under the “Nijaat” campaign being run by the police administration and told them about “No to drug addiction – Yes to life” for living a safe life. Also, considering police as their friend, they were told to inform police about criminal matters. They said that today women are also empowered and are working like men at every level. While telling the girls present in the camp about crimes related to women and safety measures, they were told that if any kind of crime is committed against women, they should immediately inform their family and police about it. In the evening, the campers took out a rally in Kushalpur area to make the society drug-free and gave the message against drugs. All the children and youth present took a pledge to live a drug-free life. Mr. G.S. Mandavi, Kamal Singh Paikra, T.R. Sahu, Raghuraj Singh Rai, Indira Thakur, Ashish Rai, Lalesh Pradhan, Sanman Singh, Uday Bisen, Purnima Sahu, Madhuri Sahu, Mrityunjay Prajapati, Hiralal Nishad, Purnima Kashyap and other residents of the area played a major role in the conduct of the camp.Founder Pt. MLA Shri Motilal Sahu was the chief guest and former MLA Nandkumar Sahu, Councilor Smt. Uma Chandrahas Chandrakar, Patron Member of Gayatri Parivar Shri Dilip Panigrahi, District Coordinator Shri Lachhuram Nishad, BJP Mandal President Shri Jitendra Dhurandhar, Sarpanch Shri Ashwin Lahare, former Sarpanch Smt. Tileshwari Dhurandhar, Premshankar Gautia, Kamraj Sahu Sarpanch Datrega were present in the organizing committee.
